Nature of the Service
- Bitfinex is a non-custodial exchange. We do not store user funds.
- All swaps are executed automatically via smart routing and temporary liquidity.
- We do not offer trading accounts, wallets, or custodial storage.
No KYC by Default
We do not require KYC or registration for most transactions.
However, we reserve the right to:
- Request identity verification in suspicious or high-risk cases
- Refuse service or freeze a transaction temporarily for security or compliance reasons

Service Availability
We strive to maintain 24/7 uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We are not liable for:
- Delays caused by blockchain congestion
- Downtime due to maintenance or technical issues
- Loss of funds due to user error (e.g. incorrect address)
Fees & Rates
Exchange rates and network fees are displayed before confirmation. By proceeding with a transaction, you agree to those terms. All fees are final. No refunds will be issued once a transaction is broadcasted to the blockchain.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bitfinex and its operators shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the service.
Use of the platform is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind.
Intellectual Property
All content, branding, and visuals on Bitfinex platform are protected by copyright and may not be used or reproduced without written permission.
